Get to Know the Mini Moo

Shelly and Katie fell in love with Highland cattle for their gentle nature, unique beauty, and sweet personalities. When they decided to bring home their very first Highlands, Shelly drove all the way to Missouri to make it happen. That trip marked the beginning of something special. From that moment on, working with their Highlands became a shared passion. Time in the pasture turned into memories, learning, and a growing herd built with love and care. As their love for the breed grew, so did their vision. They didn’t want to keep that joy to themselves. So they began planning Sip & Paints and other farm events — creating ways for others to experience their sweet cows up close. Mini Moo Addition isn’t just about building a herd. It’s about sharing the love of Highlands with everyone.

About

My name is Katie Holbrook

Katie is the daughter of John and Shelly Holbrook and grew up helping at JH Cattle Co, learning firsthand the dedication it takes to raise quality cattle. Today, she works alongside her dad while also building her own program with Mini Moo Addition.

Her passion began with a Dexter bottle calf that she raised — now a cow — who inspired her to start creating her own herd. Along the way, she fell in love with HighParks for their unique look and gentle nature.

Katie is now building a Mini HighPark–Dexter herd focused on health, structure, and intentional breeding.
